Hillary Lindauer:
Hillary Lindauer, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She graduated from Michigan State
University in 1988 with a Master's Degree in Counseling and obtained her California license in 1996.
She has over 20 years experience working with families, individuals, and children. Hillary is
experienced in using play therapy with children and specializes in treating children with abuse
issues. She also frequently works with men and women who have been abused as children. Hillary
has completed training in EMDR and uses it to help adults and children with trauma issues.
Janet Giles:
Janet is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years of counseling experience.
Janet works with children, adolescents, and adults. She is trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy
and has worked with individuals and families in community mental health settings. She has also
worked as an adjunct instructor at National University in the Psychology Department.
Beverly Mantych:
Beverly earned her Masters in counseling in 2008 from National University and is currently a Marriage
and Family Therapist Associate. She worked as a Victim Witness Advocate for seven years and has
worked at the Community Counseling Program for over two years. Beverly especially enjoys working
with couples, adolescents, families, and trauma survivors.
Lillian Castro:
Lillian is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling
Psychology from Chico State University. She is experienced in working with children, adolescents,
adults and families. She has received training to help clients process and reduce trauma symptoms.
Lillian uses CBT, Play therapy, Art Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy in her work. She has worked
with foster families and families with developmentally disabled children. Lillian is also trained in
suicide intervention and has provided training to others. She is also able to provide counseling to
Spanish speaking clients.

Dana Thomas:
Dana is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has a passion for working with families,
teens and adults who are dealing with a variety of issues such as trauma/grief & loss, anxiety, and
depression. Her philosophy is that people hold the answers to resolve what holds them back from
living a fulfilled life and need only a safe and supportive space to find their congruent truth. Dana
has been trained in EMDR, TF-CFBT, and trained in adoption competency mental health. She is
currently enrolled in a program through Touched by a Horse, where she will be certified in Equine
Gestalt Coaching Method (EGCM) that partners with horse to heal people from unresolved issues.
Dana has a strong desire for continued growth as a clinician, so she can meet the needs of our
diverse community and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Morgan Ruley:
Morgan recently moved here from down south and brings a lot of experience to our office.
Morgan is available to answer all of your questions about billing and our sliding scale fee. Feel free
to give her a call M-F 9am – 5pm.
Ariel Yarbrough:
Marriage and Family Therapist Associate and the Executive Director of the Family Counseling
Center. She earned her BA in Psychology at Trinity College in Chicago, IL and her MA at Simpson
University in Redding, CA. She has worked in several settings including foster care, group home, pre-
school, and transitional living. Ariel is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy/Sand
Tray, Family Functional Therapy, EMDR, Brainspotting and has worked with a wide variety of
diagnoses. Ariel has completed Level 1 of the Gottman Method couples therapy and has also
received training working with military families. She works with couples (pre-marital, co-parenting,
marital problems, etc), families, elderly, children, LGBT and teens. In her free time, Ariel loves
spending time with her family and coming up with new recipes.
